Innertube water polo....

Ryan and Alisa play inter murals at BYU and right now they are on an inter tube water polo team. Friday night Sandie and I went to check out their game to see what this was all about. Here are a few pictures that I took before the Nazi lifeguard came and told me that you can't take pictures in there...kind of odd. Here's Ryan's action shot.

A better action shot of Ryan.

Here is Alisa getting ready to score a goal. They totally killed the other team, buy 30 points. It was a lot of fun to watch and looked like a pretty fun game to play.
It was fun to watch and see how competitive inter murals at BYU can be. If you ever get a chance to see a game I highly recommend it, but just remember at BYU you can't bring your camera. :)

Road Trip!!!!

Last week I did a really quick road trip. Candice decided that she was coming to Utah for a wedding and long visit. She had hurt her foot and needed a little help and company for the drive. So I flew to Denver Thursday night and Friday morning we were on our way back to Utah. (I was gone less then 24 hours, but it was a lot of fun.) Here is Abigail excited and ready for the road trip.

So, Candice left her sunglasses at her house...and we all know that you can't go on a road trip without shades!?!?!!? As I was out getting gas in the truck she went in and made a purchase. She said that the choices were limited and she meant to pick up a different pair of sunglasses. But this is what she came out with. I was laughing SO hard, I was crying when she put them on. And it got even better, she kept forgetting to take them off when she went into places. It was good entertainment.

I had to try on the sunglasses, too. Not my style but it was entertaining to try.

What would a road trip be without some chocolate? Abigail was totally enjoying herself with yummy M&M's.

This is somewhere after Grand Junction in the middle of nowhere...but I thought the clouds looked pretty cool.

I guess you can't have a road trip in the winter without running into a little snow. We were really lucky and only hit snow after Price and then most of the way home. But going up over Daniel's summit really wasn't that bad, see....

It was really pretty up on top of the summit. Here are few pictures I took of the trees with snow on them.

Just another pretty picture. (Sorry for the glare, I had the window up because it was too cold to roll down.)

Here are the 3 of us at Candice's brother-in-law's wedding. So, not the best "self-portrait" but it's kind of difficult with 3 people.

Here is Abigail sharing her cupcake with her mommy. I thought it was too cute.

We tried to get Abigail to look at me but when she is 19 months, you take what you can get.

February Birthday Party!!!!!

We celebrated our February birthday over a week ago, I am just slacking with updating my blog. So here are a few random shots of the night...

Grandpa and Talmage playing cars before the party started.
An action shot of Grandpa playing with the boys.

The dessert looked really cute so I had to take a picture. (Excellent job, Crook family!)

Part of the gang just hanging out.

Here is another part of the gang.

Ryan and Alisa coming straight from church to be apart of the party.

Seth is learning how to go down the stairs.

Finally...we found the Birthday girl for February...Brenna! She totally has the posing for the camera down. What a cutie!

Grandpa and Seth just hanging out.

Grandma and Seth having a little fun.

I thought this picture was great...Tanner decided it would be fun to put on Brenna's Hannah Montana sunglasses.

KSL

I have to say right now I am really enjoying living in Utah (including the snow) and the perks that go along with it. KSL is doing an amazing job on reporting President Hinckley's passing. It's awesome to be able to go online and get SO much information about what's going on from a new channel's web page. Check out their section dedicated to President Hinckley right now. http://www.ksl.com/?sid=104759&nid=288

It's also great to hear all the tributes going on to President Hinckley. I will miss his talks, his witty sense of humor and most of his example. But he has left us a great example to follow.

Shout out to....????

I really don't have anything in particular that I wanted to give a shout out to today, expect for my new blog layout!!! I think it's totally me and totally cute. THANK YOU AMY!!! So I thought that I needed to do a new post to get people to come and check it out. ;) (Mission accomplished, right?)

Now in all seriousness, I will give a shout out to MUSIC!!! Since I spend 4 hours a day listening to music for my job I have to say that I have truly come to love it!!!! It can make such a difference in moods and attitude, especially mine. There have been many days when I have come into the radio a little tired and down and all it took was playing a couple of songs with good beats and I did a complete 180. I LOVE that there are SO many different types of music out there for us to appreciate. One day when I was telling someone what I did at work they asked me if I ever got tired of listening to music, and I was like no way -- are you crazy?!?! For me I will always love country, but I have gained a greater appreciation for all types of music. Lately I find myself liking a lot more rock then I ever thought possible. It just goes to show how we change all and really it boils down to what mood are you in. I have a feeling that I will come back many times and make revisions to this post, but for now you get the main idea! And to whoever invented music or the idea of it...I salute you!!!!

(PS -- I already know that I am a NUT, in case that's what you are thinking after you read this post.)

Happy Birthday Candice!!!!

I just got back from Colorado for a long weekend to visit Candice and Abigail. I went to keep Candice company on her birthday and to just enjoy some good company as well. Here is the birthday girl with her daughter.

The 3 of us just hanging out after Candice's bday dinner.

Yesterday as I was leaving we realized that we didn't have any pictures of Abigail and I together. I had a great time and hated to come home, but as they say "All good things must come to an end." (Surprisingly these are about the only pictures I took while I was there.)

Famous!!!!

Saturday afternoon I got a phone call from Stephanie (my neighbor) asking me who took Ryan and Alisa's wedding pictures. All I could remember was that his name started with a B. So then she said, Bryant Livingston and it all came back to me. As I was about to ask why she was wondering, I got my answer. She was looking through Utah Brides magazine and found a picture of Ryan and Alisa from their wedding day. She was kind enough to bring the magazine over last night. We had Debra scan it so we could have record of it in case we can't get a copy of the magazine. (We found out that you have to subscribe to it.) So here you go for all of those that don't live in Utah...our famous couple!

Lookin' great in 2008!

I thought I would start off the New Year right...with a new color for my hair. (Thanks to Mom and Dad for the Christmas present.) I seriously LOVE being a girl and the fact that we can change our hair color depending on our mood. :) Normally when I see that the roots are showing and it's time for a fix them, I right away picture how I want my hair to look next. Like I said...normally that is what happens. This time all I knew was that it was time to fix the roots. I made my appointment and still had no idea what I wanted done, which was really kind of nerve racking for me. Thank goodness I know my stylist really well (she's my neighbor) and I trust her not to really do something I won't like. We decided on putting a little natural color in between the red and the blond. And I have to say that I am super pleased with the results. It all blends really well together. It is a little bit of a change for me to not see as much blond in my hair but I think change is a good thing and and in two months I can change it again! :) Here are some random shots I took of my new color (I just couldn't decide on one so I posted three!)

Pretty snow pictures

Yesterday I was driving around at lunch and I looked up at Timp and it was SO beautiful, I had to stop and take a few pictures.

Just another pretty shot of Timp.

Today I was driving around with Amy and we looked up at Timp and saw the cloud cover was at the bottom of the mountain. It was really cool looking. I "tried" to capture the effect...so here it is...
