Vampire toes....

This week is "Vampire week!" The 4th book in the Twilight series comes out this week, at 12:01am August 2nd! In preparation for the event Amy and I went and got Vampire toes. These are mine and Amy's are black with red flowers. They are SO cute!!! There will be more pictures of Vampire week to come as we are going down to St George for the weekend to have a girls weekend and read the book in peace! I'm SO excited and can't wait to read the last book!

(It's just a girl thing to put pictures of our pretty toes on our blogs.)

July Birthday Party

Sunday we got together to celebrate the birthdays in the family for July. Dave, Seth and Sydney all have birthdays this month. Jodi's family came for dinner but then had to leave so here is Seth getting ready to open their present. He really was in a good mood, I promise.

The boys were downstairs looking at all the hiking sticks and as they have grown a ton, it was time to get new ones. So, I went to take a picture of Talmage and this what I got. He cracks me up.

Here is the birthday girl, Sydney excited to open her presents. Happy Birthday on the 28th, Syd!

Here are the two birthday boys, Seth and Dave checking out what grandma and grandpa gave Seth for his birthday.

Brenna had a little bribe and if she followed through she was allowed to take her mom's camera and take some pictures. So, you know I took a picture of me taking her picture, just for fun.

Seth recently got a Build-A-Bear, so for his birthday I got him this fun bday outfit. It came with a real noise maker. I had to document his accomplishment of figuring out how to make it work.
We had more people there, I just didn't get a whole lot of pictures. Thanks for coming everyone and HAPPY BIRTHDAY to our July bdays!

4th of July Fun

For the 4th I went to Mike & Jodi's annual BBQ. It was fun to hang out with the family and just chill. Here is Debra and I just chilling before she ran off to the Stadium of Fire.

I couldn't resist this picture of Brenna, I thought her pose was just too cute, plus she looked way festive!

Tanner, McKay and Jason just hanging out.

No 4th of July would be complete without doing at least one Diet Coke and Mentos explosion. Here is Mike getting everything all set up. This year it was easier thanks to the Geyser Tube. The first one turned out really well.

Just a random shot of the crowd at Mike and Jodi's.

I thought Madison looked SO cute all festive and ready for the Stadium of Fire.

I grabbed a picture of Aunt Della, Jodi and Grandma. It was SO much fun having some family from California up here this year.

Bailey and Claire hanging out, they are great friends.

I had to post this cute picture of our hosts. Thanks Mike and Jodi for hosting such a fun party!!!

Talmage kept cracking me up, every time I went to take his picture this is what I got. Silly boy!

I suppose a post from an event would not be complete without at least one self-portrait. :)

We were SO excited that Megan decided to ditch out on the EFY dance and come and hang with us! We also enjoyed the extra time with Megan, as she stayed a little longer.

GNO with CA family

While we had visitors from California, we decided to have a Girls Night Out with them here. We had Aunt Della talk about earthquake preparedness, which is helpful since there is a major fault line just above our house. Then the girls wanted to figure out some fun summer time hair styles. So, anyone who wanted to was a model. :) Here's Jodi trying something fun with Brenna's hair.

Here Debra is trying to figure out some kind of cork screw braid with my hair. Look at all the fun colors in my hair...I LOVE it!!!!

So, we talked about earthquakes, hair, and then Mom and Aunt Diane made some yummy lemon curd thing that they had in Arizona visiting Uncle Don and Aunt Carol. I did steal one picture from Donna for this post...I thought this was a cute picture of Amy and I. It was fun to have a girls activity with our visitors. Oh and then we found out that we are all getting "star fish" earrings from Grandma. Aunt Della has story to go along with that, when I get them I will post and tell you about the story. Thanks for coming everyone, we will definitely have to do it again!!!
