KSL

I have to say right now I am really enjoying living in Utah (including the snow) and the perks that go along with it. KSL is doing an amazing job on reporting President Hinckley's passing. It's awesome to be able to go online and get SO much information about what's going on from a new channel's web page. Check out their section dedicated to President Hinckley right now. http://www.ksl.com/?sid=104759&nid=288

It's also great to hear all the tributes going on to President Hinckley. I will miss his talks, his witty sense of humor and most of his example. But he has left us a great example to follow.

Shout out to....????

I really don't have anything in particular that I wanted to give a shout out to today, expect for my new blog layout!!! I think it's totally me and totally cute. THANK YOU AMY!!! So I thought that I needed to do a new post to get people to come and check it out. ;) (Mission accomplished, right?)

Now in all seriousness, I will give a shout out to MUSIC!!! Since I spend 4 hours a day listening to music for my job I have to say that I have truly come to love it!!!! It can make such a difference in moods and attitude, especially mine. There have been many days when I have come into the radio a little tired and down and all it took was playing a couple of songs with good beats and I did a complete 180. I LOVE that there are SO many different types of music out there for us to appreciate. One day when I was telling someone what I did at work they asked me if I ever got tired of listening to music, and I was like no way -- are you crazy?!?! For me I will always love country, but I have gained a greater appreciation for all types of music. Lately I find myself liking a lot more rock then I ever thought possible. It just goes to show how we change all and really it boils down to what mood are you in. I have a feeling that I will come back many times and make revisions to this post, but for now you get the main idea! And to whoever invented music or the idea of it...I salute you!!!!

(PS -- I already know that I am a NUT, in case that's what you are thinking after you read this post.)

Happy Birthday Candice!!!!

I just got back from Colorado for a long weekend to visit Candice and Abigail. I went to keep Candice company on her birthday and to just enjoy some good company as well. Here is the birthday girl with her daughter.

The 3 of us just hanging out after Candice's bday dinner.

Yesterday as I was leaving we realized that we didn't have any pictures of Abigail and I together. I had a great time and hated to come home, but as they say "All good things must come to an end." (Surprisingly these are about the only pictures I took while I was there.)

Famous!!!!

Saturday afternoon I got a phone call from Stephanie (my neighbor) asking me who took Ryan and Alisa's wedding pictures. All I could remember was that his name started with a B. So then she said, Bryant Livingston and it all came back to me. As I was about to ask why she was wondering, I got my answer. She was looking through Utah Brides magazine and found a picture of Ryan and Alisa from their wedding day. She was kind enough to bring the magazine over last night. We had Debra scan it so we could have record of it in case we can't get a copy of the magazine. (We found out that you have to subscribe to it.) So here you go for all of those that don't live in Utah...our famous couple!

Lookin' great in 2008!

I thought I would start off the New Year right...with a new color for my hair. (Thanks to Mom and Dad for the Christmas present.) I seriously LOVE being a girl and the fact that we can change our hair color depending on our mood. :) Normally when I see that the roots are showing and it's time for a fix them, I right away picture how I want my hair to look next. Like I said...normally that is what happens. This time all I knew was that it was time to fix the roots. I made my appointment and still had no idea what I wanted done, which was really kind of nerve racking for me. Thank goodness I know my stylist really well (she's my neighbor) and I trust her not to really do something I won't like. We decided on putting a little natural color in between the red and the blond. And I have to say that I am super pleased with the results. It all blends really well together. It is a little bit of a change for me to not see as much blond in my hair but I think change is a good thing and and in two months I can change it again! :) Here are some random shots I took of my new color (I just couldn't decide on one so I posted three!)

Pretty snow pictures

Yesterday I was driving around at lunch and I looked up at Timp and it was SO beautiful, I had to stop and take a few pictures.

Just another pretty shot of Timp.

Today I was driving around with Amy and we looked up at Timp and saw the cloud cover was at the bottom of the mountain. It was really cool looking. I "tried" to capture the effect...so here it is...

Temple Square Lights

Friday night Candice, Abigail and I decided that we need to go and see the lights at Temple Square. It was BEAUTIFUL as always.

Just a random shot of the lights.

Candice and Abigail just hanging out all bundled up for the chilly weather.

We let Abigail walk around and all she wanted to do was play in the snow. It was really funny, she would move from place to place finding new snow to make a mess of. :)

Here I am...somewhere around Temple Square...I don't remember exactly where, but it was a cute picture. :)

I am just hanging out in front of the big tree made out of lights.

Abigail running around and getting some energy out before we get on Trax.

Here are a couple of funny pictures. The weather guys said it was going to be FREEZING so dressed according to keep me from being an icicle before we were done looking at the lights. So this is how I started out the night...I felt like the stay puff marshmallow guy. But on the other hand I was REALLY warm. :) (I was playing around with the picture and decided you could get the full effect better in sepia tones...and I thought it was fun and different.)
I soon found out that it wasn't as cold downtown as the weather guy said it was going to be. So this is how I ended up the night...in just a long sleeve shirt and a light jacket. :) But better to be prepared then to have turned into an icicle.

Candice and I waiting for Trax to come and pick us up.

Saturday we hung out in Salt Lake. We had a few errands to run and then we ended up driving around a lot so that Abigail could get a nap and then we went on this wild goose chase trying to find a Hogi Yogi. The gps on Candice's phone was a little incorrect. When it told us that we had arrived at our destination, I looked up and saw a Tattoo parlor....not exactly a Hogi Yogi. Needless to say we didn't get a Hogi Yogi, we went to Crown Burger instead. Here is a picture of us just hanging out in the car.

Doesn't Abigail look like she was having fun. She really was because she was watching Happy Feet. I still haven't seen that movie all the way through but I heard almost all of it and it seems like a really cute movie. (I think she was annoyed at me because it was nice and dark and then I take a picture of her.)
