A chilly day at the property...

Sunday afternoon I went out to Mom and Dad's property with Dave, Amy and Seth. We found it to be a little on the chilly side -- but we had a great time. Here is Grandma with Seth just hanging out on the swing.

Grandma and Seth on the quads. He liked it up until it got started and it was a little too noisy for him. One day he will want to go for rides. The sad thing is that it was too cold to even take the quads out for a little spin. :(

We did try to get Seth used to the helmet for future use. ;)

Amy and Seth having a little ride in the wagon.

We had a super YUMMY dinner out there with Mom and Dad and their friends. Mom and Dad went out to the property with the purposed of building the bunkhouse over the long weekend. Due to the weather we ate inside protected from the wind. They did a lot considering the wind, rain and hail they had over the weekend. It's going to be great to have more room out there for sleepovers and to hang out in.

Despite the cool temperatures we had a great time. Seth was very talkative and entertaining on the drive out, so that was a lot of fun!!! Thanks Mom and Dad for being great hosts, your property looks wonderful!

Sandie's Birthday

We decided to do something different for Sandie's birthday. To start off our adventures we went to somewhere none of us had gone before...

It was fantastic! We were able to sit outside and enjoy the nice weather with some really yummy food! Their mile high biscuits are SO good! It's a fun old diner that I highly recommend if you are near Emigration Canyon.

Then we had a picnic later in the day after Stephanie joined us with all of Sandie's favorite foods. I had forgotten how fun it is to have a picnic and just chill in the great outdoors.

Stephanie and Jenn having a little fun with their drink cups. :)

I thought this was a fun picture of Sandie taking her self-portrait.

Stephanie having a little fun just being herself. We had a great day hanging out and doing things that were out of the norm for us. Once again...Happy Birthday Sandie!!! (It only took me 2 weeks to do the post.)

Mother's Day & May Birthdays

We had a wonderful day celebrating Mother's Day and our May birthdays in the family. Here is Mom and Dad as Mom was opening our gift.

All of siblings got together and picked something that we had learned from Mom and wrote about it. Then Amy did the design and put them in frames. Mom loved her gift and it was a good time for all of us to reflect on what Mom has taught us over the years. Thank you for everything Mom, I love you!

We took a picture of all the Mom's in our family. Top: Janna, Debra, Jodi and Michelle.
Bottom: Amy, Mom, Aunt Diane. I hope all the Moms had a great Mother's Day!

We had a BBQ this afternoon, here is McKay and Carter hanging out waiting for things to get started.

Here is Seth playing with the rocks that he found in Grandma's backyard.

I couldn't resist posting this picture of Talmage climbing around.

Our May birthdays are Sandie and Peyton. Sandie's is on the 15th and Petyon's is the 10th. Happy Birthday you two! So, Peyton had a wonderful day yesterday and Sandie's special day is coming up this week!!

Here is Peyton with her purse that Janna made her, it's way cute!

David's family made Sandie this fun candy gram card for her birthday.

It was perfect weather and a great day! Thanks to everyone for coming and helping with the BBQ! Happy Mother's Day to all the amazing Mothers out there!

Girls Night Out

We had our Girls Night Out a couple of weeks ago, yes I know a little slow on posting about it. We had some YUMMY food to start off with. I made this Black and White Bean Dip. It was SO easy and YUMMY! You can find the recipe here at The Sisters' Cafe. Debra made a really good queso dip as well.

Water flavored with oranges, it was WAY good. I am not a huge fan of lemon water but I liked the oranges.

For our activity Amy showed us how to use Photoshop. It was really educational. I personally think that it's way cool to see all the different things that Amy comes up with in Photoshop. Thanks to Amy my blog always looks super cute. It was a laid back night but a lot of fun. Here is Abby trying to be apart of the fun. It's rough being a kid sometimes. ;)

Thanks girls for a fun night, can't wait for next time. As I am finishing this post I realized that we didn't actually take a picture of those who attended. Oh well, there is always next time. :)

A Milestone For My Blog!!!!

This is my 100th post, I kind of thought the
day would never come
when I first thought about setting up my own blog last year.
I thought that I didn't do enough interesting things to
post but thankfully I was WRONG! :)
I love my blog, it's kind of like the journal that I don't keep. :)
So to celebrate my 100th post, I came up with a few
of my favorites things that I like to do,
with the word ONE HUNDRED.

Here is a "brief" explanation as to why I choose what I did.
I LOVE to cook/bake because I feel like that is where my creative juices come to life.
In my opinion who doesn't like to talk? But I really do enjoy talking, you should see how many minutes I use a month on my cell phone. Thank goodness for early unlimited nights and weekends! :)
Reading
a great book is one of my favorite past times. Oh how I love to lose myself in a good book. Some of my favorites are any books by Anita Stansfield, the Twilight Series and Harry Potter. I have others but those three stand out.
As I was thinking of what words to use for this at first was kind of stumped when it came to the letter "H" and then all of the sudden it hit me...HAIR!!! DUH? We all know that I LOVE my HAIR and I am not shy about it, so need I say more?
I really can't stand silence and I just love how music has the ability to change your mood. There have been so many days when I've been just BLAH but then an upbeat song comes on and I totally do a 180 with my mood.
Night time
-- I am such a night owl, it's like my body wakes up between 8-10pm. :)
I LOVE my family, what else can I say? I love that we are all living in the same valley for now.
Road trips
-- who doesn't love hitting the road with great music and friends? There's just something about getting out of town that is exciting and driving to a new place.
Portuguese
-- yes, I do still love it and I try to practice it as much as I can. It's such a pretty language and I really enjoy knowing a second language.
DVDs
-- I classify this as movies. Whether it's watching movies in the theater or having a fun movie party at home, I love watching movies. They can be a break from reality which we all need from time to time. ;)

I know that was kind of a crazy paragraph but I hope it gives you a
little insight to some of my favorite things.
YAY -- Happy 100thPost!!!

MY BIRTHDAY!!!

I am just warning you now that this is going to be a long post, I just couldn't decide on what pictures to post so I ended up with lots! That being said, I have to tell you that I just LOVE my Birthday!!! I think Birthday's are SO fun and they are your special day and you deserve to REALLY CELEBRATE the occasion. I had a WONDERFUL Birthday this year. Because my Birthday fell on Sunday I called it my Birthday weekend!! It started Thursday after work Sandie and Jenn took me to get pedicures...

and manicures! It was great to have a little pampering! I normally don't like my hands but with my nails done, I think they look pretty nice.

Then we went to dinner at Thanksgiving Point. Here is Stephanie and Sandie chilling as we are waiting for our table.

Stephanie and Jennifer having a little fun while we wait. (Stephanie had to work so meet us for dinner.)

My YUMMY Birthday dessert from the restaurant.

Friday night and Saturday I hung out with a couple of friends in Salt Lake and we went to dinner and the movies. I had a great time just relaxing with them.

Sunday morning Ryan and Alisa came downstairs and gave my part of my present...a Birthday outfit for Maxie. Doesn't she look SO festive? Then they made me breakfast! I felt SO loved!

Our 1st set of tulips that popped up!!! YAY for tulips! Also note that BIG daffodil! I just LOVE spring flowers!

A picture of part of the decorations we had around the house! :)

More decorations...

Alisa and I having fun with the camera. (Alisa's bday is the day after mine...so we can call this one -- "the Birthday girls!!!")

We had the family over to celebrate the April Birthday's in the evening. I couldn't resist this picture of Seth.

I just thought this was cute of Alisa and I (the birthday girls.)

Mom and Dad with some of the grandkids. They were trying to get them to settle down and it turned into a great photo opportunity.

I am showing off Amy's present. She is way creative and made a magazine cover for me. It's call W Magazine. It's SO cute!!!

Alisa is SO excited to start reading Eclipse, can you tell? I LOVE that series.

Maxie also got a chair...doesn't she look like a queen sitting on her throne?

With Seth's allergies he wasn't able to eat our YUMMY dessert, so they gave him an ice cream cone with whip cream in it. I think he enjoyed himself, don't you?

I had my camera out and Talmage was standing right there, how can you resist taking a picture of that cute face, especially with such a cool hat on!?!?!!?

The April Birthday girls...Claire, Me, Alisa and Bailey!

Here are some random pictures that I liked from the day...Amy and I.

Ryan, Jodi and I

My parents gave Alisa and I each fun hats with their present. So here we are trying them out.

Then when I came into work Monday morning one of my co-workers gave me a card and spread confetti on my desk.

I know this was long but I had to share all of my fun experiences! I had an AMAZING Birthday!! Thank you to everyone who made me feel spoiled and LOVED!!!!
