A visit from Candice

My friend Candice is in town visiting family in between moving. They were in New York at Fort Drum and are in the processing of moving to Fort Carson in Colorado. Her little girl, Abigail is turning 1 on July 9th so they have had a couple of birthday parties with family here for her. Here she is in her Elmo chair.

Abigail is testing out the cake to see what she thinks. We are teaching her at a young age that chocolate is GOOD!!!

Candice and I were able to get away and go have a little girl time. It was SO much fun to go and do some of our "traditions" and add a new tradition. I thought that with her being a new mom she doesn't spend a lot of time on pampering herself, so I made appointments for us to go get pedicures. This was Candice's first pedicure and at first she was a little nervous about someone touching her feet but she warmed up to the idea and LOVED having such pretty toes. (I had my camera but didn't get a picture of us so I just took a picture of my toes, aren't they SO cute?) After the pedicures we went to dinner and then decided that we needed to go to the movies (tradition.) We had to stop at the store to pick up chocolate covered peanuts to bring to the movies, you just need to have some sweet with the salty popcorn. Our eyes were bigger then our stomachs when we were picking out the chocolate, we brought a lot into the movies in Candice's diaper bag. We had a lot leftover but that's alright because it was more so just the fact that we were following a tradition. We both had a great time just hanging out and talking. Friends are the BEST!!!!

Just me...

I thought it would be fun to take a picture of me and one of my new favorite books. If you haven't read "Twilight" yet I highly recommend it. (This is the sequel to "Twilight." The thrid book comes out August 7th!) Since we are all going to need a new series to read after "Harry Potter" is over.

After the concert....

We went to the Mirage after the concert to walk around and see what was going on. Of course we had to have a mid-night snack.
We had to have a picture in front of the waterfall in the Mirage. (We did find some nice people who offered to take our picture if we took theirs. It was a good trade.)
This is a spiral escalator in the Forum shops in Caesar's Palace. It was a little slow going but it was SO cool to look at.

At the Mirage waiting for the car. (I found out how easy it is to get around Vegas with valet parking. You get out and walk away and then they bring it right to you, all you have to do is pay for the tip! SO EASY!!!)

Viva Las Vegas!!!!!

We left Springville Satruday around 7am heading south to "SIN" City for the Goo Goo Dolls concert! We decided that we need a stretch break and breakfast in St. George. Breakfast was Coldstone!!! Yummy!!!

This is part of the room after 4 girls got ready for a night out on the town! You couldn't see the counter in the bathroom with all the make-up and hair stuff on it. But what else would you expect, right? (When the bellman came up to get our stuff Sunday morning, he said "All this for one night?!?!" Yes, we are girls and had to be prepared so the means over packing.) The results of the mess was worth it...

Stephanie and Sandie are ready to go "rock" on baby!!!

Jennifer and Wendy ready the night of FUN!!! Lifehouse and Goo Goo Dolls...here we come!
